| The Shimmy Sisters have been dancing together for around four years and performing together for over two. They perform their own lively, fun choreographies mainly to Arabic, Turkish and Western pop songs and dance primarily for their own enjoyment - but it’s also very important to them that their audiences should enjoy watching them. As well as performing publicly at events such as the MacMillan Miles, the Royal Marsden summer fair and the Croydon Mela, they frequently dance at private occasions, particularly at nursing homes, where they love to see the old folks’ faces light up with pleasure at the spectacle. The Shimmy Sisters are (in alphabetical order) Becky, Bernadette, Jill, Kathi, Sarah, Semera, Sharon |
